Philadelphia International Airport is among the most family-friendly airports in the world
From carrying extra luggage in strollers and cribs to flight delays and unexpected changes in plan, traveling with kids can be a great adventure. Family Vacation Guide checked out the most family-friendly international airports and ranked Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) as one of the best.
The guide ranked PHL Airport, Pennsylvania’s main airport, fourth with a score of 9.61 out of 10, describing it as one of the busiest air transportation hubs in the United States with the highest on-time departure record: 86.5% of its flights. Flights depart as scheduled.
The report also noted that there are 41 activities that can be done at the airport and 64 restaurants, including the famous fast food restaurant Tony Luke’s, known for its famous Philly cheese steak sandwiches.
To create this list, Family Vacation Guide analyzed certain factors based on on-time departure, cancellation fees, unlimited free Wi-Fi, and number of restaurants and activities.
“There are many other factors to consider when traveling, such as navigating the best airports for food to keep the kids and family happy, and planning how early to arrive at the airport. Incidentally, we also looked at the number of services and restaurants that provide entertainment for children and adults alike.
Mexico City Juarez International Airport ranked first on the list. two, John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York; Three, O’Hare International Airport in Illinois; And five, Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport in Minnesota.
The investigation conducted was not limited to airports; It also addressed some of the world’s largest airlines on family-friendly factors, such as free entertainment for children, child-friendly meals on board, and early boarding.

Philadelphia International Airport is city-owned and entirely self-sufficient, and uses no local tax dollars to operate and maintain it. It is an important economic engine, generating more than $16.8 billion annually for the regional economy and supporting more than 106,000 full-time jobs.
